Privacy Policy

Killbuck Township Fire & EMS runs this website. This page explains what the site collects, why, and who sees it. It covers the website only — not records the department keeps as a public agency.

What the site collects

The contact form. Your name, email address, phone number, the topic you pick, and whatever you write in the message.

The membership application. Everything on the application: your name, address, phone and email; whether you have served in the military; whether you are permitted to work in the United States; your driving record and licences; your education; your employment history; and the references you list. We do not ask for your Social Security number on this website. If the department needs it later for a background check, you will be asked in person.

Your web server records. Like every website, ours keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser, pages visited, time of visit. They are used to keep the site running and secure.

The site does not use advertising trackers and does not sell or share anything you send us.

Where it goes

Form submissions are emailed to the department and stored in this website’s database, where only department members with a login can read them. Applications are stored privately and are not published anywhere on the site.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept while they are useful and then deleted. Applications are kept as part of the department’s membership records. If you want a message or an application removed, ask us and we will remove it unless we are required to keep it.

Other services on this page

The contact page shows a Google map of the station. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. That is Google’s processing, under Google’s privacy policy, not ours.

The site is hosted on a commercial web server and sends its email through a mail service. Both handle the data only to deliver and store it for us.

Cookies

The site sets a cookie only if you log in to manage it. Browsing the public pages does not require cookies.

Children

This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Anyone under 18 applying to join should do so with a parent or guardian.
